Fuikbay, on the south coast of Curacao, seven miles southeast of Willemstad is an inland bay with a 147-foot wide navigable entrance. The depth of this harbour at the entrance of the bay is 26 feet. Pilot boarding position 1/2 a mile west of the bay. The maximum permissible I.o.a. is 340 feet, and the maximum permissible draft is 24 feet even keel.

This bay is mainly used as a loading terminal of the "Mining Company Curacao" for export of phosphate rock mined out of the "Tafelberg." There is one berth under the conveyor which transports the phosphate rocks from shore into the holds of the vessels alongside.

An 84-foot berth for handling other cargo, named "Zandsteiger", is available. Only small vessels with a maximum draft of 12 feet can come alongside. Vessels with more draft can berth with the help of floats between ship and quay.

There is an anchorage area in the west side of the bay.

This port has no bunker facilities, so vessels bound for this port can take bunkers in Willemstad before or after calling at this port, if bunkers are desired.

No transit sheds are available for storage of cargo.

A five-ton mobile crane is available to assist loading or unloading of small vessels.

The jetties are privately owned by "Mining Company Curacao" and are situated on private property of this company.

Entering and sailing this port can take place only during daylight.
